Grass Paper Khadi Cotton - White

This is a very unusual lightweight and slightly translucent cotton khadi fabric, that has a texutred graph paper weave. The grass paper name comes from the fact that it is stiff at first, but washes to be very soft, so would be suitable unwashed (or re-starched) for blinds, as well as washed for dressmaking and quilts. Woven on small power looms and hand dyed with azo-free dyes within a fair trade community, this fabric is full of charm.

Price is per HALF metre.

100% cotton. 96cm wide.

Please note that due to the nature of this fabric being handwoven and hand dyed, there may be slight differences and irregularities throughout, but this should be taken as part of its charm. We aim to check all fabric before cutting. We also advise you to prewash this fabric on a 30˚ cotton cycle before washing in case of any minor shrinkage or dye transfer that may occur, and line dry where possible. Iron on a hot temperature as it will wrinkle after washing.
