As some of you will know, our site was down for a while this week.
The problem was caused by a rush of visitors to the site after the newsletter went out (yes, it's that good!) which resulted in us being rudely kicked off the shared server by our web host for being too popular. Shucks.
Fortunately, we are now with a much friendlier hosting company and have a server all of our own - which means the site is up and running faster than it ever was before.
We apologise if you experienced the frustrating shut-down, and prior to that, the slow running site as I know many of you did, but please be assured that all those troubles are now behind us and we have a tip top, speedy site running like a dream!
The newsletter offer has been extended to the 1st April so if you've not already received the newsletter, sign up for it now........

Recent additions to our collection of Vogue Sewing Patterns include some fabulously glamorous Vintage Vogue. These are new prints from the original designs, whoever decided which classic patterns were worthy of revival chose very wisely. These are timeless designs that glide across the decades with ease. Modern glamour, maybe not your everyday look - but just the thing if you have a special occasion coming up. A Spring wedding perhaps.....?
And how fabulous are these totally Mad Men, 1952 style aprons?!
The pattern pack contains 5 versions on one theme. One of each please!

Here's a nice idea for a Mother's Day gift - or better still, a stylish little treat for yourself...
Don't you think these very attractive sewing bags are perfect for keeping all your bits and pieces in order? Made with our favourite Kokka cotton/linen fabric, they're roomy enough to keep a whole sewing or knitting project in. They've got an inner pocket and a magnetic clasp for added safe-keeping and long shoulder straps making them perfectly portable. Find more details of them here.
With matching purses aswell! - fully lined with a zip closure - find them here.....

Of all the many new fabrics we have had in over the last few weeks (and there's more to show you yet!) our favourites, and the ones that are currently inspiring us above all else, are the new additions to our Japanese Kokka range.
These new fabrics have swelled our Kokka/Cotton/Linen/Medium-Heavy Weight collection so much that we have had to split them up a bit. Have a look (here) and you'll see new and funky Etsuro Furuya/Echino prints on Kokka's wonderfully robust and versatile cotton/linen fabric. On the same weight fabric, Kokka's own designs - which carry the Trefle label - are equally fab, look at these rather lovely new ones here.
But best of the best are the strawbs! These are prints on a slightly softer and lighter 45%/55% mix of cotton and linen, with a beautifully antique look and feel. We've been busy making good use of them, take a look......
