  • Pip Pip Hooray for Aneela Hoey's Sherbert Pips!

Girls swinging from cherry blossom trees, dogs chasing balls and children zipping around on scooters - all brought together in a pretty pastel colour palette. Welcome to the adorable world of Aneela Hoey. So full of life and movement, cosying up with a sherbert pips quilt will make you feel like you're outside skipping and jumping amongst the trees!

This is UK designer Annela's very first collection for Moda and we bring you eight of her 100% cotton prints. Available either by the metre at £11, or as a fat quarter bundle for £22.

It's all in the detail with Aneela's prints, look closer and you'll see hedgehogs brushing through the leaves, little snails nestling under the trees and - blink and you'll miss it - dogs catching mice! The inspiration from Aneela's prints stem from her charming embroidery works which you can see on her etsy shop here. Aneela was trained in textiles from the prestigious Winchester School of Art and has freelanced in London and New York as a print designer. Whilst bringing up her two daughters she fell back in love with quilt-making which led her to design her own fabrics when she couldn't find what she needed.

As well as Aneela's illustrative prints there are some great geometrics. We especially like her scarf stripe - what looks like a standard stripe on closer inspection is lots of tasselled scarves all lined up! We can see this as a cutie little A-line skirt. We're looking forward to meeting more of Aneela's friendly characters in her upcoming little apples line, watch this space!
