London Cloth Company Wool - Tooley

A classic tweed-feeling wool cloth with a 'brick' weave. The various tones of grey used in the cloth are all undyed natural wool and take on the characteristics of the sheep they are from. Still a mediumweight wool with a flatter finish, this cloth would make a great coat or jacket, or simple lined skirt. You could also use it for blankets, bags, cushions and curtains. The colour of the selvedge is known as 'Government Grey' (warp yarns) and uses the 'GG Broken Twill' weave.

Price is per HALF metre. Multiple quantities will be cut as a continuous length.

150cm wide. 100% British wool.

This cloth should be drycleaned or handwashed using a mild detergent without any agitation. We recommend spraying it with a mild fabric freshener rather than washing where possible.

Based in East London, the London Cloth Company is a micro-mill specialising in quality woven cloth, particularly woollens, produced on their range of carefully and lovingly restored shuttle looms. We are honoured to be the only retailer of LCC fabrics, all of which can be used for various purposes including dressmaking, tailoring, interior homewares and upholstery.
