Sewing Machine Surgery

  • Make a Selection

If your machine is feeling tired and sluggish, has a persistent stitching problem or just needs some TLC, bring it along to our sewing machine surgery.

*Gain a better understanding of how your machine works and how you can take proper care of it.

*Learn about common issues and how to fix them.

The session will be led by Jennie from Cheekyhandmades who brings with her years of machine sewing experience and technical know-how. "I’m a little bit clever when it comes fixing mechanical issues, servicing and getting the best out of sewing machines of all ages – antique, vintage and modern! I can fix your machine or teach you how to repair and service it yourself."

In the first part of the session Jennie will talk about common problems and how best to take care of your machine, this will be followed by a Q&A/ fixing session which will include a section on how to get the best out of your machine and its features.

You will have all the knowledge on hand and all the tools supplied to repair your own machine and carry out a service too!

*Please note: This session is NOT for electronic or electrical issues or for fixing battery operated/ mini machines or overlockers. If you have a particular serious issue with your machine, please email us at school@raystitch.co.uk before booking.
