Stitch School Embroidery Workshop

Suitable for all Levels.

We are delighted to announce Ray Stitch is once again teaming up with Melanie Bowles from Stitch-School @stitch_school to learn and explore embroidery stitches. Learn a range of essential and decorative embroidery stitches for embellishing and mending, expanding your knowledge of needlework stitches and building a personal language with stitch.

You will be introduced to the ’50 Stitch Embroidery Sampler’ and begin your journey of discovering embroidery stitches, practising on a linen sampler which you can continue in your own time and once finished ready to display and refer to. By the end of the session you will have gained confidence to use embroidery as a creative and mindful activity to make, apply, mend, gift or just enjoy! 

Materials include a 50 embroidery stitch printed linen sampler, threads and an illustrated poster of 50 stitches. Once your sampler is finished it will be ready to display and refer to.

*Taking a class at Ray Stitch entitles you to 10% off in the shop within one week of finishing this workshop.

Unfortunately our classes are non refundable. Due to our small class sizes it is also very difficult to transfer your booking to a different date. If you cannot attend a class and are able to notify us at least two weeks before the class starts, it may be possible to fit you in on another date but this is not guaranteed so please give us as much notice as possible to increase your chances.

Run by Melanie Bowles founder of Stitch-School who brings together communities through the art of stitching. Stitch-School was founded in 2017 to provide professional and inspirational guidance to reconnect the benefits of embroidery through embroidery kits, workshops and community events. Stitch-School runs regular workshops teaching the skills of embroidery and repair in friendly, supportive groups.
