Introduction to Machine Sewing
Whether you're completely new to sewing or just feeling a bit rusty, our Introduction to Machine Sewing classes are the perfect starting point. Learn the basics from the ground up and gain the confidence to begin making your own sewn projects—whether that’s a simple cushion or the start of a handmade wardrobe.
We offer two ways to begin your sewing journey:
Single Sessions
Great as a taster or refresher, these stand-alone workshops focus on making a simple, useful item such as a tote bag or envelope cushion. All materials are provided, and you’ll leave with both a finished piece and new skills you can build on.
Six-Week Course
This more in-depth option is ideal if you want a solid foundation in machine sewing. Over six weekly sessions, you’ll progress through a range of practical projects—each one designed to build on the last. By the end of the course, you’ll have learned a wide variety of sewing techniques and completed several projects, including a fully lined and piped holdall bag.
