Organic Cotton Double-Layered Jersey

This is a stunningly soft double-layered organic cotton jersey. The two layers of single jersey are knitted together to create a reversible fabric; one side is stripey whilst the other side is dotty. The way it is knitted gives the fabric a bit of bounce so would be exceptionally breathable and comfortable for children and baby clothes, t-shirts, loungewear, underwear (thermal type), pillowcases, duvet covers... It has a 40% crosswise stretch (95% recovery) and 30% lengthwise stretch - it is very slightly two-way stretch. We used it to make a basic raglan long-sleeved t-shirt with contrasting sleeves.

The charcoal grey stripes are 2mm wide with 6mm gap between each. The white dots on the reverse side are 9mm apart.

100% organic GOTS-certified cotton. 1.4m wide. Approx 200gsm.

Please note, as this fabric is organic, there may be minor irregularities to the weave, and as organic fabrics are finished in a different way, there may be marks to the surface that should wash off. There can be slight differences between batches owing to the natural organic fibre and this can affect colouration and finish, though we endeauvour to let you know of any major differences. We recommend that you prewash this fabric as up to 5% shrinkage may occur due to the finishing processes used. Wash at 30˚ with mild detergent. Line dry and use minimal tumble drying. Iron on a medium cotton setting if necessary.
